Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled the Hyatt Times Square New York. Hyatt’s seventh hotel in the city, the 487-room property stands 54 stories high and is the tallest newly built, freestanding Hyatt hotel in the US.
Designed by New York-based George Wong Design, the guestrooms offer an intimate, apartment-like feel with floor-to-ceiling windows. The décor juxtaposes neutral, light-toned fabrics and warm woods with brightly colored, city-themed art pieces⎯⎯including a pop-art lounge chair created by a local artist.

With only 11 rooms per floor, the hotel features 49 suites with modern indulgences such as deep soaking tubs and rain-head showers. The hotel’s Premier suite additionally offers a private terrace with views of the Manhattan cityscape.
Slated to open in time for New Year’s Eve, the hotel’s eclectic diner offers a vibrant setting for meals as well as take-out service. The 54th floor rooftop lounge, designed by New York-based SPAN Architecture, will also offer river views and indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
The 2,000-square-foot meeting center holds pre-function areas and three adjacent rooms complete with terraces. As the only hotel spa in the area, the 4,200-square-foot spa will offer a blowout bar, manicure and pedicure stations, signature massages, and couples treatment rooms. Additional Hyatt Times Square amenities and meeting spaces are scheduled to open by early 2014.
