Chicago-based firm Gettys is celebrating 25 years of success. Founded in 1988 by four Cornell graduates in 1988, Gettys has become a leader in design, procurement, and branding for the hospitality industry.
With Karrie Drinkhahn overseeing the firm’s global business development efforts, the Gettys team will work this year to initiate and strengthen worldwide relationships. Gettys will continue to develop Resorts World Manila, the Amalfi Hotel in Chicago, two Hilton Garden Inns in San Jose, Costa Rica, and Bogota, Colombia, and the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne.
“We’re enthusiastic about our projects opening their doors in 2013: Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter; the Al Ghurair Rayhaan Hotel and Al Ghurair Arjaan Serviced Apartments by Rotana in Dubai; the Grand Mercure Dongguan and the Novotel Xinjiekou, both in China; the Epicurean, an Autograph Collection in Tampa, Florida; and the Sheraton in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic,” says Andrew Fay, founder and president/COO of Gettys. “This diversity of properties really showcases our wide-range of services and locations.”
