San Diego-based Graham Downes Architecture has signed on to design Hard Rock Hotel in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, in a revamp of the existing Palace Resort. “We love working with the Hard Rock brand. It is an exciting, young adult-oriented concept that pushes entertainment value in lodging second to none,” says principal Graham Downes, whose firm has designed four other properties for the brand. “With the Hard Rock Hotel Nuevo Vallarta, we’re focused on creating a design that captures the young and hip vibe of the brand while also catering to families….We are bringing excitement, luxury, and sexy sophistication.”
Upon reopening this spring, the beachfront hotel will feature 348 guestrooms, four restaurants, four bars, a nightclub, spa, two swimming pools, and a meeting facility of more than 6,000 square feet.
