Grupo Vidanta has opened its latest luxury resort, the 168-all-suite Grand Bliss in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. “The genesis of the project was a desire to return to basics, which all of us are longing for in some form or another. The moment you enter the lobby, you are transported into a different world, a simpler world,” says Arturo Hernandez, Grupo Vidanta chief architect. “Through the use of stone textures, wooden beams, detailed furniture design, and modern palettes of natural color, guests are immersed into a world that is instantly soothing yet familiar. The true challenge was in integrating these natural concepts in a modern setting.”
Amenities include plunge pools on suite terraces, nearby acres of swimming pools (including a wave pool and lazy river), a kids club, a full service luxury spa and fitness center, and an 18-hole Nicklaus-designed golf course walking distance from the entrance. Guests can also choose from six different restaurants.
