Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur has debuted as the brand’s first hotel in Malaysia. Positioned at the top of the building, a sky lobby offers untold views of the city’s skyline with the iconic Petronas Twin Towers as the backdrop. On the ground-floor lobby, Bilkey Llinas Design uses specially commissioned artwork to create contemporary grandeur. A circular piece inscribed with a well-known Quranic verse, “A thousand dinar,” welcomes guests at the main entrance, while a gold/bronze sculpture by Malaysian artist Abdul Multhalib Musa resembles a tower. Serving as the lobby’s centerpiece is a crescent-shaped sculpture, sitting in a pond by the grand staircase.

Outfitted in warm earth tones, the hotel’s 412 guestrooms and suites showcase floor-to-ceiling windows offering city or park views. Meanwhile, opulent bathrooms feature a bath and rain shower enclosed by a liquid crystal glass cube that turns opaque at the touch of a button.
The hotel offers three dining options. Located on the top floor, THIRTY8 encompasses a restaurant with show kitchens, a wine bar, and lounge. The ground-floor JP teres features an outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery and water features, along with two private dining areas. The all-day-dining outlet Poolside rounds out the offerings.
Curves define the hotel’s 35,530 square feet of meetings and event space, which include the oval-shaped Grand Ballroom and Grand Salon. An energy-efficient crystal chandelier blankets the ballroom, while panels of lattice work depict the local Malay custom. In addition, Hyatt’s residential-style meeting concept spans more than 10,760 square feet.
Leisure and recreational facilities include Essa Spa, a fitness center, and outdoor pool, steam room and sauna, whirlpool bath, an ice fountain, and relaxation areas.
