Grand Hyatt DFW has revealed the results of its $13 million renovation of its guestrooms, meeting spaces, and F&B outlets. Dallas design firm Seifert Murphy brought a fresh artistic spin to the hotel with 1,300 pieces of new art by local photographer Richard Bettinger, whose Decompressionism style abstractly depicts the reflection of light and color. Boasting a residential feel, accommodations employ touches of granite, wood, and leather.

In addition, meeting spaces feature a contemporary color scheme, a new 10-person boardroom, and an art gallery feel to pre-function space (pictured) with floor-to-ceiling art pieces. Other elements of the project include the redux of Moka, a coffee café, and the addition of M Lounge, a martini and sushi bar.
Green features prevail, including a window shade system that automatically opens upon entrance and closes upon exiting; in-room lighting that is a combination of LEDs and CFLs, which also automatically turn off once the room is unoccupied; and dedicated recycling bins. In addition, guests can access bedside touchscreen panels that control air conditioning, lighting, and window shades.
