Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay is in the midst of an overhaul to its 445 guestrooms, including 23 suites and 45 casitas. Looney & Associates is redesigning the accommodations with a nod toward the hotel’s surf and sand surroundings. The firm has established a tranquil atmosphere, thanks to linen textures, walnut-colored cerused oak woods, and various shades of blue. The entry, which boasts a wood look porcelain floor, large-scale patterned wallcovering and sea glass-hued accents, leads to a new spa-like bathroom. Modern finishes and fixtures, a large desk with polished chrome accents, sculptural tables, and plush bedding further contribute to the guestrooms’ coastal charm.
