GrizForm Design Architects pays homage to the Mediterranean in its design of Medi restaurant in Arlington, Virginia. Principal Griz Dwight captures the old world charm of the Mediterranean region, using white stucco, marble, and blue walls and entry door to create the feel of a Greek coastal location. Lighting fixtures take their inspiration from the elements and shapes found at fishing docks. Black-and-white photography, vintage pulleys, oak wood walls, ceiling beams, and an unfinished concrete floor contribute to the look of the 40-seat quickservice restaurant.
