Switzerland’s Gstaad Palace has completed renovation of its Deluxe and Tower Suites. The goal of the refurbishment was to bring the surrounding Swiss region to the design of the six suites.
Designed by Gloucester, UKâ€â€śnative and now based in Lake Geneva Marina Nickels, new palettes incorporate wood along with white and coffee colors. Each bedroom has a completely new walk-in closet, and old wooden beams and details to the ceilings create a warm atmosphere.
The windows also boast silk curtains. Many pieces were custom made from a regional company, in keeping with Gstaad Palace’s desire to hire Swiss suppliers whenever possible.
Located in the chalet village of Gstaad in the Bernese Alps, the resort is one of the last remaining family-owned palaces in the country, open since 1913. Gstaad Palace comprises 104 guestrooms with 26 suites, including two Tower Suites and a Penthouse Suite. Five restaurants provide Swiss and Italian specialties and gourmet cuisine with charmed casual settings, and GreenGo nightclub adds an energetic, retro vibe.
