Harbor View Hotel’s Captain’s Cottages in Edgartown, Massachusetts, have unveiled renovations of each of its 18 residences. Designed by Linda Woodrum of HGTV’s Dream Home and New York-based designer Jon Kastl of Champalimaud, the cottages evoke classic vineyard style and a seaside ambiance.
Each of the cottage suites has a unique floor plan and is swathed with white walls and contrasting solid black walnut floors. The foundations create an airy backdrop for a variety of color schemes⎯⎯including seashore teal blue, soft beige, brown and white, coral red, and brown. Adding to the island feel are wicker and upholstered furnishings, bamboo draw shades, and plantation shutters.
All suites feature one-to-three bedrooms and one or two baths along with heat and gas fireplaces. Baths are marble or mini-ceramic tiled, with glass-walled showers and separate tubs. Most suites have porches or decks with rocking chairs, and several have private outside showers made of cedar and mahogany that open into the suite bathroom.
