Qatar Holding LLC, which owns Harrods, plans to develop hotels that carry the luxury retailer’s name-and opulence. The investment fund has announced its first Harrods property in Kuala Lumpur, which calls for 300 guestrooms. Qatar also is eyeing London; Paris; New York; and Sardinia, Italy for additional locations, preferring to build on sites that it or its affiliates already own.
