Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham has unveiled a new hotel prototype to enhance guest experience and reduce development costs for franchisees.
The new-construction prototype is part of a strategy to help the upper midscale brand provide a contemporary, consistent environment across the portfolio. Additionally, the design lowers the cost for hotel owners with an approximate 46 percent in savings compared to the previous prototype.
“When our guests are away from home, we want to them to feel comfortable, stay productive, and have access to the amenities they’re accustomed to in their daily lives,” says Bill Hall, brand senior vice president of Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham. “This prototype’s new design and offerings give guests the opportunity to make the most of their time on the road, whether they’re with us for a few days or several months. At the same time, our owners will benefit from a new-construction product that can deliver higher returns and greater efficiencies.”
The prototype, developed with 96 suites over four floors, features stacked stone indicative of prairie-style architecture and pops of red on the building’s exterior eaves, windows, and doors. It has also been designed as a LEED-certifiable building.
Studio and one-bedroom suites range from 350 to nearly 600 square feet and feature a neutral color scheme accented with warm and cool tones, contemporary furniture, and updated guest bathrooms with environmentally friendly amenities.
