St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has debuted the St. Regis Abu Dhabi in the UAE, marking the brand’s second hotel in Abu Dhabi and third St. Regis hotel to open in the Middle East.
“We are proud to be part of the continued development of Abu Dhabi’s travel and tourism sectors. Since Starwood opened its first hotel in the region more than thirty years ago, we remain committed to growing our presence and strengthening our luxury portfolio,” says Michael Wale, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. “With the opening of the St. Regis Abu Dhabi, we look forward to offering to global travelers and local residents the bespoke guest experiences and unparalleled luxury for which the St. Regis brand is renowned.”
The St. Regis Abu Dhabi boasts the world’s highest suspended hotel suite, the first Gary Rhodes restaurant in Abu Dhabi, and the first Hommage Gentleman’s Grooming Atelier in the UAE. The hotel is part of Nation Towers and combines the brand with contemporary Arabian hospitality.
The hotel features 283 guestrooms and 55 suites, all offering panoramic waterfront views of the Arabian Gulf. Designed by Atlanta-based HBA, together with local designers, the hotel’s understated interiors were inspired by the region’s heritage and the St. Regis brand’s legacy. Keeping in mind the color of the local sands, the traditional cuisine, and souks, HBA has imagined a luxurious setting in Abu Dhabi steeped in an Art Deco past.
The Abu Dhabi Suite is positioned 650 feet above ground between the two towers and spans over 11,600 square feet. The suite combines modern and traditional Arabic design with strands of crystals, 24-carat gold leaf accents, leather wall tiles, jewel-toned velvet upholstered walls, and intricate glass mosaic patterns. Along with three bedrooms, the suite boasts a grand majlis with a high ceiling, a spa, movie theatre, kitchen, dining room, fully-equipped gym, and private elevator access.
The St. Regis Abu Dhabi offers eight culinary venues⎯⎯including Rhodes 44 and Villa Toscana, serving regional specialties from Tuscany, Umbria, and Emilia-Romagna. Crystal Lounge, Cafe44, the Tea Lounge, Azura, Spa Café, and the St. Regis Bar complete the F&B offerings.
