Hilton Worldwide has signed management agreements for two new-build Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Queenstown, New Zealand, marking the brand’s debut in the resort town. Development will comprise a 178-room 5-Star hotel to be named Hilton Queenstown and a 4-Star property, featuring 98 one-bedroom apartment-style rooms, to be known as the Kawarau Hotel, Managed by Hilton (pictured). Construction on both hotels is under way with completion expected in 2011.
Hilton Queenstown will feature an array of F&B outlets, including a signature lakeside restaurant and bar, as well as a stylish lobby lounge. Leisure facilities will encompass an indoor heated, swimming pool, health club, a seven-room health spa, hydrotherapy pool, and sauna and steam rooms. Meeting facilities include two conference rooms, two boardrooms, and a business center.
