The Rainbow Tower at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is getting a $45 million facelift. Pacific Asia Design Group will oversee the transformation of more than 800 guestrooms and two signature suites. Accommodations will integrate the colors of Hawaii as the basis of developing themes for the new rooms: the warm and vibrant colors of the sun, along with the glow of a day at the beach represented by orange and gold hues. In addition, the corridors on all guestroom floors will be upgraded with new light fixtures, wallcoverings, carpet, and artwork. Elevators lobbies will also receive new door faces and frames, new flooring, lighting, and wall treatment.
Meanwhile, the Duke and Niumalu Presidential Suites will feature designs contemporary and sophisticated with subtle touches of Hawaiian influence. Jewel tones of sapphire blue and gold tones recall the shimmering ocean in a calm, soothing background of textured neutrals.
