Hilton Omaha, Nebraska’s largest convention hotel, is planning a $35 million expansion to attract more meetings and events to the area. Currently housing 450 guestrooms, the hotel is set to add another 150, along with a second ballroom totaling 7,000 square feet (including a pre-function area) and 100 additional parking spaces. The expansion also encompasses a renovation of existing guestrooms and public spaces, including new furnishings, fixtures, wallcoverings, and flooring. Work is scheduled to begin in later this year and will be done in phases with completion slated for early 2012.
