San Antonio’s Hilton Palacio del Rio is embarking on the second phase of its $34 million overhaul. Targeting the meeting and convention crowd, the project includes a revamp of the hotel’s 27,000 square feet of function space. The Salon del Rey ballroom will receive floor-to-ceiling windows, while technological upgrades will include a digital signage system, new elevators, a virtual concierge, and sound and lighting improvements. A redesign also is slated for the Ibiza Restaurant & Patio Bar and hotel lobby. All 485 guestrooms already have undergone upgrades.
