The 178-room Hilton Queenstown has made its debut on the South Island of New Zealand, joining the 98-key boutique Kawarau Hotel, Managed by Hilton. Positioned directly on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, both hotels deliver gorgeous views of the lake or surrounding mountains. Each Hilton Queenstown guestroom includes a fireplace built of local schist stone, floor-to-ceiling window, a separate lounge area, and private balcony or deck. Pieces of art by New Zealand artists on display throughout the hotel evoke the spirit of local culture.
Hilton Queenstown offers four dining options, including signature restaurant Wakatipu Grill, overlooking the lake and helmed by renowned Chef Peter Thornley. It features the drama of an open kitchen and rotisserie, two circular fireplaces and outdoor fire pit. Guests will also have access to eforea, Hilton’s signature spa with 10 treatment rooms; meeting facilities; and a gym, steam room, sauna, and indoor heated lap pool.
