Hilton Hotels & Resorts has reflagged Manhattan’s Fashion 26 hotel as the Hilton New York Fashion District. The property’s theme, executed by Glen Coben, is a tribute to New York City’s glamour and role in the fashion industry with details such as a signature wood reception desk that recalls a fashion studio cutting-room table.
Upon arrival, guests pass through the landscaped driveway with a fountain that leads to the sleek glass and brick hotel tower and lobby embellished with artwork and photography that nods to the history of the garment industry. Fabrics, furnishings, and a soft color palette soothe and attract the senses, while the lobby floor patterns resemble the “weaves” of yesterday’s traditional clothing. The hotel’s emphasis on fashion art extends to regular exhibitions of works from renowned artists as well as a commitment to supporting the careers of emerging talents. The hotel offers 280 custom-tailored guestrooms with modern design elements that feature commissioned photographs that capture the essence of American garment-making.
The hotel also features RARE Bar and Grill, meeting venues, and a rooftop bar.
