Hilton Tokyo Bay has unveiled the renovation of 33 guestrooms using a new design concept named “celebrio.” Asao Nakayama of W Design International (WDI) is responsible for the refreshing, contemporary palette of neutral and calming tones that targets style-conscious travelers.
The serene bedrooms are at the core of the design, featuring a pure white backdrop accented with a distinctive cocoon-like oval sofa in Aqua Soda Blue (a term coined by WDI) and polka dot carpet resembling the effervescent bubbles of fizzy soda water. In the bath, installed speakers allow guests to indulge in listening to their favorite music via their iPod, while an ambient Aqua Soda Blue downlight creates a relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, a statement artwork piece in each elevator foyer and an innovative cube-shaped, translucent ottoman that subtly changes color as one sits on it, created by Masaki Yagisawa and creative group Mongoose Studio, further reflects the celebrio concept.
