Hilton Hotels & Resorts has rolled out several new programs to make design decisions easier for owners, operators, and designers. Hilton Design Studio (HDS) is an online tool that provides parameters based on the brand’s guidelines while allowing for flexibility in the design and adaptations for cultural nuances and styles. HDS also offers an interactive component that allows users to choose their guestroom layout, style, color palettes, flooring, artwork, and FF&E.
Once a room is designed with HDS, the technology produces detailed design specifications, CAD drawings, and six renderings of each user-generated guestroom, all designed to save owners a considerable investment and improve speed of design implementation. The conceptual 3-D drawings utilize an advanced layered-graphic approach, with approximately 1,600 images available to produce more than 1 billion unique room design options. Users also have the ability to save multiple projects for easy modifications or reference throughout the design process.
In addition, the new Hilton Connectivity Station features a user-friendly station within the lobby boasting internet access, a variety of seating configurations, and computer hardware. Meanwhile, Hilton Valet is a new multifunctional armoire that includes a built-in ironing board and power outlet for an iron, an “unfolding” closet space, a built-in luggage rack, safe for valuables positioned at standing height, and a refrigerator and coffee/tea service that both slide into drawers so they are only visible when in use.
