The 513-room Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre has opened as the brand’s largest Canadian hotel following a $20 million renovation that resulted in the gutting and complete redesign of the existing building. Ava Janikowski of Chase International Consultants in Design oversaw the project, creating a modern hotel in line with Holiday Inn’s global re-launch.
In the lobby, artwork from locally based artist Neil Young accentuates the hotel’s design, thanks to his colorful abstract visuals. Amenities include the Carlton restaurant, Thirty Bar & Lounge, a fitness center, an indoor pool complemented by an outdoor patio, and 9,000 square feet of meeting space.
