The Homestead, a 200-year-old mountain resort in Hot Springs, Virginia, will launch a $25 million transformation this summer. Plans include:
A new spa and wellness center will integrate the property’s geothermal spring waters. The spa will include 29 renovated treatment rooms, a tranquil garden, walking paths warmed by radiant heat, geothermal mineral bath and river reflexology bed, and winterized poolside cabanas.
Spread across two acres, Family Adventure at Allegheny Springs will have three 100-foot water slides, a lazy river, sandy beach, a casual restaurant, and a stone-face deck warmed by radiant heat for year-round enjoyment. The resort also will build Mini Cascades, a new 18-hole miniature golf course.
Several new F&B options will come onto the scene. Jefferson’s Grill draws inspiration from Thomas Jefferson with farm-to-table cuisine, informal and private dining, and an exhibition kitchen. Designed to showcase historical artifacts, the relocated Presidents Lounge encourages drinks around the fireplace, while a new lounge will be wrapped in rich wood paneling and wide-screen TVs.
