Hotel Chandler has unveiled the results of its $10 million top-to-bottom makeover in New York’s Flatiron district. Interior designer Jane Capellini maintains the charm and historic integrity of the 1905 building in which the hotel is located, using elements such as built-in mosaic rug in the lobby, oversized arm chairs, 18th century clock hands, copper details, and the original exterior façade. Residential design informs the 138 revamped guestrooms, boasting a neutral palette with blue accents, bay windows, rich cherry wood armoires, tufted headboards, rainfall showerheads, and four-poster beds in the Chandler Suites.
Other spaces in the redesign include the lobby, a bar, library room and the Chandler Lounge. Meeting space, a private dining room, and new restaurant Juni will debut early next year.
