Hotel Indigo Santa Barbara has opened its doors following a multimillion-dollar renovation. Local architecture firm AB Design Studios Inc., designed the property to blend the city’s artsy vibe with sophisticated architecture. Interiors by Level 3 Design Group in Los Angeles complement the building with clean-lined design.
Some of the hotel’s 41 guestrooms offer private outdoor gardens, while others provide views of the Riviera, mountains, or urban scenes. Accommodations are outfitted with plush bedding, European-style bathrooms with collapsible glass-wall showers, and hard-surface flooring covered with area rugs. Colorful murals of artist tools, such as brushes, film, paints, pastels, and welding torches by local artist Elizabeth Harper, grace the common areas and guestrooms. The hotel also features an Art Library and CAF Satellite @ Hotel Indigo Santa Barbara, which provides exhibitions of site-specific, commissioned installations by local artists.

Sustainability plays a role in the hotel’s redesign, with features such as a plant-filled living wall, green space, double-pane windows, on-demand water heaters, ionized water cleaning system, and a filtered water bottle refilling station. Other amenities include outdoor lounges, a business center, boardroom, and fitness facilities.
