Hotel Indigo Veracruz – Boca del Río has opened in Mexico. Featuring vibrant décor and colorful accents, the hotel’s design reflects the rich culture and folklore of the seaside community in which the property is located. Jorge Caram Kuri, director of Gilca Construction, served as architect on the project, and designer Walter Allen handled interiors. The 106 guestrooms feature furniture in orange and green to mirror the local mangrove trees, while area rugs over hard-surface flooring create a residential feel.

Local traditions also are on display at La Bamba Bistro, local chefs incorporate elements representative of the region, The restaurant’s design was influenced by traditional music and dance, including photos of performers and flowing white drapes that recall the twirling dresses of Jarocha dancers.The hotel also offers a bar, pool, gym, business center, and ballroom.
