In May, Hotel Keen will launch as a new stylish boutique hotel in downtown Palo Alto, California, and the latest addition to the BPR Properties’ hotel group. Formerly the Palo Alto Hotel, Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates (San Francisco and New York) have infused a modern design into the 42-room hotel.
Upon entering, guests will be greeted by their own personal concierge. Upstairs, guestrooms feature custom-built bed and desk with an ergonomic task chair, writable and erasable white board walls, a neutral color palette of gray and white, and 37-inch flatscreen TV set into the wall. (Personalization continues here as well with a pillow menu.) In line with owner BPR Properties’ eco practices, guestrooms also have low flow toilets, on-demand instant hot water heating systems, eco-friendly bath products, and in-room recycling.
“Hotel Keen is setting the bar for travelers who are seeking a hotel that fits their lifestyle,” says David Issel, vice president of operations for BPR Properties. “Like its name-from the room design to the accommodating and attentive staff-everything about Hotel Keen is sharp, efficient, well defined, and thoughtfully designed.”
