Kimpton’s Hotel La Jolla near San Diego ha re-launched following a $4 million transformation. Gulla Jonsdottir of G+ Design and Claude-Anthony Marengo of Marengo Morton Architects were responsible for the design, which imparts a coastal-chic aesthetic. Each of the hotel’s 110 guestrooms offers a patio or balcony; guests also can choose from four 900-square-foot apartment-style luxury suites.
The revamped lobby, appointed with contemporary furnishings, offers an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere, while the new ground-floor venue, Hiatus, provides more than 2,000 square feet of open-air space, complete with firepits, chaise lounges, and a bar. The hotel also features Cusp Dining & Drinks, an 11th-floor event space, pool deck and lounge, fitness center, and refreshed landscaping.
