Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans’ French Quarter is putting on the final touches of a refurbishment that modernizes facilities while maintaining its historic charm. Originally opened in 1886, the property features revamped guestrooms outfitted in elegant décor and chrome bath fixtures. The refreshed Carousel Bar and Lounge boasts an open space marked by coffered ceilings, custom crown molding, circular glass chandeliers, expansive windows, and a new crescent-shaped bar. Meanwhile, new restaurant Criollo offers cuisine that emphasizes fresh local ingredients.
Additional changes include new furnishings in the lobby; fresh wallcoverings, drapes, and carpeting in meeting rooms and guestroom corridors; plantation shutters in elevator foyers; new awnings, light fixtures, landscaping, and misting stations at the pool.
