Danforth Development Partners is planning to build a new full-service hotel and apartment building in Harlem, according to GlobeSt.com. Two 26-story towers will sit atop the historic Victoria Theater, whose lobby will serve as the hotel entrance and be restored with its signature fountain, marquee, grand staircase, and lighting. Designed by Ariel Aufgang of Aufgang + Subotovsky Architecture, the mixed-use project also calls for a ballroom, 25,000 square feet of retail space, and 25,000 square feet of cultural space that will house the Apollo Theater Foundation, among other non-profits.
