The iconic Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern, Switzerland, has reopened as a member of Design Hotels following a major overhaul overseen by London-based MKV Design. The firm carefully restored antique furniture pieces, as well as the 1913 hotel’s arched façade with intricately carved coats of arms sitting atop the slender windows. In addition, corridors were scaled down to make the 99 guestrooms and suites more spacious.
