The 125-room Hotel Vermont has broken ground in Burlington. Israel Smith of Smith Buckley Architects is teaming with Kim Deetjen of TruexCullins Interiors to create comfort throughout the hotel with reclaimed antique red oak flooring, indoor and outdoor hearths, and luxury baths in guestrooms. Amenities will include Juniper Lounge, equipped with an outdoor terrace overlooking the waterfront; two function rooms; and Hen of the Wood Restaurant.
The hotel, which is seeking LEED certification, will open in April 2013.
