Hotel ZaZa Dallas has unveiled the Bungalows, a collection of 12 one-and two- bedroom suites with coastal chic-inspired interiors. Opening in the historic State Thomas area, the suites mark the next iteration of the brand’s concept of themed suites.
Says the hotel’s developer Charles S. Givens: “As the pioneer of the theme suite, we approach everything with spontaneity, and these bungalows were the answer to our quest for a product that was romantic and felt like a dream home⎯⎯not a hotel room. We feel like we have accomplished that; the vibe is seaside meets New Orleans meets the Hamptons.”
Designed by local firm Design Duncan Miller Ullmann, six of the Bungalow suites are housed in an historic building, while the other six are new builds designed to match the New Orleans-style architecture of its counterpart; they all feature kitchens, living rooms, private porches, and patios.

Design elements include a vintage tailgate from a 1960s Volkswagen Bug in a bathroom, a Napoli freestanding tub, a 1940s television set, an amber-colored LED tree, and lifesize white statues made of fiberglass and paper mache. Much of the furniture and artwork was handpicked from local boutiques throughout Texas.
