Window treatment manufacturer Hunter Douglas has acquired Omaha-based Designer Blinds. The business, a longtime fabricator and distributor of Hunter Douglas products, will continue operating through 2012 before merging with its new parent company.
Steve Woodworth, Designer Blinds owner and president, will remain with Hunter Douglas for a period of time to help assure the effective and orderly transition of the business. His father, Lloyd “Woody” Woodworth and Warren “Ed” Dale founded the business over 26 years ago.
