HVScompass Design and Jonathan Nehmer + Associates, Inc. (JN+A) have wrapped up guestroom and suite renovations at the landmark Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC. The hotel’s 335 guestrooms and 40 suites incorporate historically appropriate materials and furniture that complement the Willard’s American Federal and Empire style from the early 19th century.
Each suite features a different color palette and furnishings. The John Adams Suite (pictured), for instance, was inspired by the tranquil gardens on Capitol Hill, while the Thomas Jefferson Suite was designed to treat guests like royalty with features such as an expanded dressing area, gown closet, and dressing table.
