Designed by architect Nobutaka Ashihara with interior design by Paul Vega and Vennie Lau of VLDG, the new Midtown Hyatt 48 Lex has the luxurious feel of a New York penthouse apartment. The soothing color palette of warm grays complements the personal touches throughout the hotel.

Guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, original artwork, woven carpets, and tables made by a Brooklyn woodworker. Studio suites boast photography by Kelly Neal and collage art by Susan Reedy, both New Yorkers. Each of the hotel’s 116 pied-a-terre studios and suites features a butler’s pantry stocked with beverage and snack options.
The Lexicon Lounge on the second floor is the hotel’s centerpiece. It features comfortable furnishings, complimentary beverages and snacks, and food items available from restaurant Lexington Brass. Four private executive board rooms on the second floor feature floor-to-ceiling windows, Herman Miller chairs, and the latest in audio-visual conferencing technology. For a green escape amid Manhattan’s concrete landscape, Hyatt 48 Lex offers six landscaped terraces, along with green rooftops arrayed with Japanese Maples and Boxwood bushes.
