A wholly owned subsidiary of Hyatt Hotels Corporation has completed its $390 million acquisition of the 210-room Park Hyatt New York, which opens August 19. New Yorkâ€â€œbased Manhattan’s 90-story One57 tower by architect Christian de Portzamparc.
Inspired by New York’s most well-appointed homes, Park Hyatt will capture the energy and vibrancy of the city. Yabu Pushelberg curated a collection of intimate public and personal areas filled with art and custom furnishings. These 350 pieces will be showcased throughout the property, with at least 10 pieces designed specifically for the hotel.
The 60-seat Living Room, which features a bar overlooking Carnegie Hall on 57th Street, will lead patrons to signature restaurant Back Room at One57. Additional facilities include Spa Nalai, offering six treatment suites and private outdoor balconies and a ballroom defined by its illuminated white onyx walls and soaring heights.
