Hyatt has signed management agreements for two notable projects in India: an Andaz hotel in Gurgaon and a Grand Hyatt hotel in Kochi. The hotelier currently has 56 projects under development in the country.
Opening in late 2014, Andaz Gurgaon will feature 275 guestrooms, 75 serviced apartments, two restaurants, a bar, spa, fitness center, pool, gourmet store, and more than 11,500 square feet of meeting space. Meanwhile, the 250-key Grand Hyatt Kochi calls for three restaurants, a bar and lobby lounge, a spa with 10 treatment rooms, fitness center, pool, and Grand Club lounge. The hotel also will house more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 26,000-square-foot ballroom. The property is slated to open in early 2017.
Hyatt also plans to open three new hotels in India in the remainder of 2012 across its Park Hyatt and Hyatt Place brands, including Park Hyatt Chennai, Hyatt Place Hampi, and Hyatt Place Pune, Hinjewadi.
