Boutique hotel icon Ian Schrager has partnered with developer Douglas Durst to build the 250-key Public Hotel New York, according to the Wall Street Journal. Designed by Cook + Fox Architects, the property calls for a 10,000-square-foot restaurant, nightclub and bar, gym, pool, function space, and outdoor garden. Residential units also will be part of the project, slated to break ground in spring 2012.
