InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has expanded to Nigeria with the 358-room InterContinental Lagos.
Located on Victoria Island, the hotel offers four main dining options. Ekaabo⎯⎯the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant⎯⎯overlooks a waterfall, while Milano serves contemporary Italian cuisine in an elegant environment. Chinese restaurant Soho and the hotel’s relaxed poolside restaurant⎯⎯PS/SP⎯⎯complete the F&B options.
The hotel also features the 1,400-person Grand African Ballroom’s, as well as an additional six other meeting rooms and a boardroom, as well as several other business facilities.
“We are excited to debut our first hotel in Nigeria,” says Pascal Gauvin, COO of IHG, for India, the Middle East, and Africa. “With its thriving economy and abundant natural beauty, including spectacular waterfalls and numerous national parks, Nigeria is an ever growing business and tourism destination. We look forward to further expanding our presence in the region as part of our continued growth.”
InterContinental Lagos is IHG’s sixth hotel in sub-Saharan Africa. Over the next five years, the brand is planning an additional two hotels in Senegal and Uganda.
