IHG has signed two new Hotel Indigo properties in the UK, both of which will reflect their respective cities and cultures. Scheduled to open in 2010, the 96-unit Hotel Indigo Glasgow will occupy a converted bank structure. "The building will retain its original character while the design reflects the contemporary, individual style that guests expect from a boutique hotel," says Maurice Taylor, CEO of Chardon Management, the hotel’s franchisee. Meanwhile, the 151-room Hotel Indigo Liverpool, on track to open in spring 2011, will be situated in the city center. Sanguine Hospitality is franchising the hotel.
