Swedish furniture retailer Ikea is making plans to enter the hospitality segment. The company plans to open at least 100 “budget design” properties across Europe, according to the Financial Times. Just don’t expect them to be flying an Ikea flag; a recognized hotel operator will run them instead. Potential markets could include Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and UK.
