Imperial Palace in Las Vegas is undergoing a name change to the Quad Resort and Casino. Parent company Caesars Entertainment also has embarked on a significant makeover to the center-Strip property. Klai Juba Architects will handle the exterior and structural renovations, while Friedmutter Group is heading up interior design, which aims to capture the new brand’s “inviting and whimsical spirit,” according to a statement.

The four-phase project will touch upon the façade, porte-cochere, front desk, bell desk, hotel lobby, casino floor, retail promenade, and dining levels. A pedestrian walkway will make its way from the adjacent Harrah’s Carnaval Court through to the south side of the Quad into the LINQ, Caesars’ $550 million retail, dining, and entertainment district.
The renovation is slated for completion in late 2013.
