Hospitality professionals from around the country will gather in Philadelphia for the first annual Independent Lodging Congress (ILC). Taking place November 13-14, the ILC offers an opportunity for participants to connect, share resources, and explore opportunities in the independent and boutique lodging sectors.
Through its panels, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities, the ILC will offer valuable perspectives and practical information for owners, managers, developers, investors, and related service providers. Guest speakers-including Tim Davis, global marketing director for Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and Alex Cabanas, president of business development for Benchmark Hospitality-will speak on topics that include social media for independents, green design, and the challenges in developing independent properties.
“I believe that there is a glaring need for discussion regarding the unbranded segment. Most of the new notable and well-regarded hotels are unbranded. Why is that?” says Andrew Benioff, principal of Llenrock Group and the creator of the conference. “We have an unbelievable panel of experts in all areas of the industry scheduled to speak. It is definitely a not-to-miss event if you are in any part of the lodging industry. It is a first of its kind event here on the east coast. With a strong focus on investment and finance it will quickly become the go-to event for independent hoteliers and their suppliers.”
