A new InterCityHotel is being developed within the immediate vicinity of Rotterdam Central Station in the Netherlands. The project is scheduled for completion in 2017.

The InterCityHotel Rotterdam will offer 180 guestrooms and 4,736 square feet of conference facilities, which include five rooms and a pre-function space. A restaurant and the Bistro Lounge will fulfill guests’ culinary needs.

The building has been designed by Amsterdam architectural firm Dam & Partners Architecten. The developer and owner is Weena Boulevard C.V., a subsidiary of Rotterdam-based LSI Beheer B.V.

“As the home of Europe’s largest port, Rotterdam is an important industrial and commercial center,” says Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Frankfurter Steigenberger Hotels AG. “This makes it the perfect site for an InterCityHotel brand establishment.”
