InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has announced three new European hotel openings for 2011 and 2012:
InterContinental Porto Palacios das Cardosas will be the brand’s first InterContinental hotel in Portugal. A renovated palace with luxury accommodations, the property will feature 105 guestrooms, including spacious penthouse suites with stunning views of the city’s historic buildings and traditional architecture, as well as Café Astoria, restored to its original Belle Époque façade. Opening in July 2011, the hotel will also have a modern spa with spacious treatment rooms, a sauna, and pool.
Designed as a “grand boutique” hotel, the InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya will house 203 guestrooms, including one spacious presidential suite with state-of-the-art amenities and unmatched views of the cityscape. The hotel’s signature restaurant will blend classic and contemporary Russian cuisine, while the exclusive Club InterContinental will be the ideal venue to enjoy a cocktail and light refreshments served throughout the day. The property is scheduled to open in July 2011.
Opening in 2012, InterContinental London Westminster is located within walking distance from the British capital’s popular main attractions, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, and St. James’s Park. The hotel will offer a high-concept restaurant and bar, among many other offerings.
