InterContinental London Park Lane has unveiled the results of its Royal Suite makeover. Design by the Gallery at HBA London pays homage to the hotel’s location on the site of 145 Piccadilly, Queen Elizabeth II’s former childhood residence. In fact, Her Majesty’s style and duties help create residential grandeur in the suite.
Serving as the centerpiece of the space, the living and entertaining area celebrates old world glamour and features an opulent hand-blown glass chandelier inspired by the Queen’s diamond collection. The elegant dining area, complete with black lacquer dining table and bespoke accessories, is complemented by an intimate seating alcove.

Meanwhile, the study area features a traditional writing desk with a stylized interpretation of a white leather wingback desk chair, bespoke accessories, and a collection of Taschen curated books. Artworks include framed antique postcards contemporary sketches of the Queen’s finely detailed millinery and her beloved corgis.
The master bedroom houses a sumptuous flora-lined satin canopy bed that celebrates the backdrops Cecil Beaton used in his portraits of Her Majesty, along with an expansive walk-in closet with rich leather and brass trim doors inspired by the ever-present iconic little black handbag. A luxurious cream Calcutta marble is replete with reclaimed antique mirrors.
Other pieces include framed antique postcards and contemporary sketches of the Queens finely detailed millinery and her beloved corgis. A pastel palette accented by bold colors informs the suite, while distressed smoked oak floors, leather, silk and brass studded wall coverings complete the look.
