Rising 36 stories above the Manhattan skyline, the 607-key InterContinental New York Times Square has made its debut. Architectural firm Gensler designed the soaring tower, which draws its influences from the Theater District and historic Clinton neighborhoods. Meanwhile, interiors by Jeffrey Beers International combine classic New York Art Deco touches with natural inspiration.
Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the guestrooms average 350 square feet and include an oversized, spa-inspired bathroom complete with walk-in rain showers. Meanwhile, the hotel’s 25 Panoramic Avenue Suites and 2,700-square-foot bi-level Penthouse suite showcase views of the skyline, Broadway, and the Hudson River. Additional amenities include Todd English’s newest restaurant concept, Ça Va; 10,000 square feet of meeting space; a concierge lounge; business and fitness centers; and a courtyard viewing garden in the lobby complete with a reflecting pool and sculptures.
The hotel, the largest in New York City to achieve LEED certification, will celebrate its grand opening on July 29th.
