InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has completed a $22.25-million renovation of the Morris Lapidus–designed InterContinental San Juan in Puerto Rico.
The redesigned guestrooms combine different tones of beige and blue to recall the sand and sea, and decorative accents and wood details evoke the emblematic colors and architectural characteristics of Old San Juan. The public space areas provide a warm and modern ambience for business meetings and leisure, and all meeting rooms are refreshed with a look and feel consistent with the rest of the property.
The 398-room resort offers a variety of fine dining options, along with a cascade swimming pool, a beachfront spa and fitness center, and an 8,500-square-foot casino. The property also features 12 meeting rooms totaling 18,000 square feet of space.
