David Collins of London-based David Collins Studio has passed away following a battle with cancer. He was 58.

Founding David Collins Studio in 1985, Collins went on to create designs for several London institutions⎯⎯including the Connaught’s bar and the Wolseley. The company was also behind the interiors for Jimmy Choo, New York’s Bergdorf Goodman, and Harrods.
A family funeral will be held in Dublin next week, and a public memorial ceremony will be announced in the coming weeks. In lieu of sending flowers, the studio is requesting donations to be made to Macmillan to the David Collins Tribute Fund to benefit those with cancer.
He is survived by a brother, two sisters, and his mother.
